How did the Comedians get famous without writers?
Why is it that David Letterman, Jay Leno, Conan O’Brien, etc. can’t seem to put together their own monologues in the midst of the writer’s strike. They surely didn’t have writers when they were starting out and wasn’t it their own talent that propelled them into their jobs.

Team CoCo Writers Live!

You want to know why Conan O’Brien is so funny?
It’s because of his comical gingey head writing staff!
The writers of Conan will be filming an hour long special called Team Coco Presents Conan’s Writers Live at the second annal Just for Laughs festival in Chicago next month.
The idea is to give audiences a “taste” of what Conan’s new gig will be like. Hosting the show will be Conan’s sidekick, Andy Richter, who believes the show will be a great way to keep the news of Conan’s TBS gig in the public eye, while giving his boss a much needed rest. Andy says:
“It was a good way to do a special that was about the show and not so specifically focused on Conan. After this tour is over, he’s going to be a little spent. And the writers are chomping at the bit to get a little taste of performing again.”
Something really interesting for hardcore Team Coco fans to tune in for. The rest of us can just wait until October.
Are U going to watch?
