Glenn Close, James Franco to Star in THE GRACE THAT KEEPS THIS WORLD
Deadline reports that Glenn Close, James Franco and Brit Marling will star in the upcoming screen adaptation of Tom Bailey’s THE GRACE THAT KEEPS THIS WORLD. The screenplay will be penned by Matthew Aldrich. (“Cleaner,” “Father Daughter Time”).
The film will follow the story of a “father in a small town whose relationship with his sons is fraying following an investigation into hunting violations.” Here’s the book synopsis from Amazon:
Gary and Susan Hazen—high school sweethearts married for many years, born and bred in the Adirondack community of Lost Lake—live a simple and honest life and have instilled values in their two grown sons by example. But despite their efforts, Gary senses that his sons are starting to pull away and can’t help but feel he is at fault. His younger son, Kevin, has ambitions that extend far beyond the snowy edges of their small town. And his elder, Gary David, so fears disappointing his father that he is keeping an important part of his life secret.
No word yet as to when production on the film will get underway.
Franco is currently directing “As I Lay Dying”. The Academy Award-nominated actor appeared on stage last year in Three Performances in Search of Tennessee.
Two-time Tony Award-winner Glenn Close appeared on Broadway in The Real Thing, Death and the Maiden, Sunset Boulevard, and Barnum. Her many film credits include Albert Nobbs, Dangerous Liaisons, Fatal Attraction, The Natural, The Big Chill, and The World According to Garp. She received two Emmy Awards for her role on TV’s Damages.
Malik will soon be seen in “Green Blades Rises.”

Spreading rumors, below-the-belt jabs, insensitive slights – all business as usual for Teresa Giudice, and insiders say her fed-up castmates on The Real Housewives of New Jersey really let her have it at the three-part reunion show taped at the Borgata in Atlantic City.
A source says a group including Melissa and Joe Gorga, Jacqueline Laurita, Kathy Wakile and Caroline Manzo – pretty much the entire cast – “went apes**t” and “berserk” on Teresa after a season of non-stop treachery.

“There was so much yelling, Andy [Cohen] was shouting at us to be quiet!” said Lauren Manzo, adding that “Xanax was passed around like candy.”
As for the stripper controversy that’s dominated the show’s late-season storyline, Teresa tells Cohen she pleaded with him to take out the content revealing Melissa’s supposedly pastied past, despite being at the root of the nasty allegation in the first place.

Of course, Melissa’s husband Joe is none too happy with the salacious rumors about his better half, and “loses his mind” during the taping.
“They go back and forth, but nothing is resolved … there’s so much pent-up anger and hurt there,” an insider says. “At one point, he says, ‘Dad told me you were going around town saying Melissa was a stripper.”

Joe’s not the only family member that Teresa butts heads with at the Borgata, as at one point, a source says that “Teresa says to [her cousin] Kathy, ‘My mother told me you are going to get divorced.’”
An exasperated Kathy told Teresa her mother is a “f***ing liar” and that she is a “disgrazia.” (Italian for disgrace.)

One source says Teresa’s jab at the Wakile marriage was just a smokescreen to “deflect from her own marital issues.”
Jacqueline’s feud with Teresa comes to a head when Teresa peppers her with barbs about having her own stripper past, causing Jacqueline to unleash her fury on the most-hated housewife. An insider told US magazine, “Everyone sides with” Jacqueline, predictably.

Sarah Brightman Releases ‘Angel,’ World Tour Set to Launch in January!
Global recording artist and world’s bestselling soprano, Sarah Brightman, released her new track “Angel” today. The recording is now available for free download via Brightman’s newly launched website www.sarahbrightman.com. The track is taken from her highly anticipated new album “Dreamchaser,” which will be released on January 22, 2013.
“Angel,” a collaboration with veteran producer Mike Hedges known for his iconic work with the likes of U2, The Cure, Dido, has been co–produced by Sally Herbert and mixed by Tom Elmhirst (Adele, Amy Winehouse).
“Angel” will be released digitally by various online retailers including iTunes and Amazon on October 16, 2012.

Beyoncé Belts Out “I Was Here” for World Humanitarian Day: Watch Now!
Debuting a new video performance put together in the name of charity, Beyoncé Knowles unveiled her World Humanitarian Day donated effort “I Was Here” on Saturday (August 18) as promised.
Having been pre-taped last Friday (August 10), the 30-year-old singer looked stunning in a sparkling white gown as she belted out the track in front of a live audience at the United Nations General Assembly Hall in New York City.
Co-directed by Kenzo Digital and Sophie Muller under the production of Scott Robinson, the concert-based clip comes in conjunction with Beyoncé and “I Was Here” songwriter Diane Warren having bestowed their musical work and the proceeds it generates to World Humanitarian Day efforts as a way to honor the victims of the horrific 2003 bombing in Baghdad.
Previously telling the UN assembly that it’s just one small effort to show she cares, Knowles passionately declared, “We all see the headlines and think, ‘What can I really do to help?’ World Humanitarian Day is an opportunity for all of us to work together to make a difference.”

‘Real World’ Star Joey Kovar Sent Friend ‘Suicidal’ Texts

The tragic death of MTV Real World: Hollywood star Joey Kovar was a “shock but not a surprise” to his close friends and RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that one friend was extremely worried about the suicidal texts he received from the reality star.
The 29-year-old Kovar was found Friday morning by a friend in a Chicago home and while the cause of death has not yet been released, his friend Jared Degado, who works with MuscleWolf Productions and was preparing to film a reality show with Joey, said he was worried about him.

“Joey sent me some very suicidal text messages lately,” Jared tells RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview.
“I’ve been really worried that it was going to get the best of him and I had a feeling he was either going to commit suicide or that all the prescription medications he was on were going to make his body give out.”

Joey appeared on the Real World: Hollywood in 2008 and his struggles with cocaine and alcohol use were featured on the show and on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.
“When I just heard about Joey’s death and I was shocked but not surprised,” Jared says.
“His life was at a low point,” Jared continues.

“Joey was sober for some time, but he suffered from major anxiety issues so he took medicine for that. He also took Adderall. We would be in meetings and I would see him have an anxiety attack and he would take his meds for that and then he would start to get really lethargic. Then he would take the Adderall to perk up. When you mix Adderall and other prescriptions it is really hard on your heart.”
Jared said that in the past few months when he would see Joey he was completely sober, and that at a recent film screening they were both only drinking ice water.

“Joey wasn’t doing any illegal drugs lately. He didn’t have the money to do cocaine anymore and he wasn’t even drinking.”
Jared said that Joey was trying to straighten out his life for his two-year-old daughter.

“I hope that she’ll know what an amazing father she had and hope that she can save any vague memories she has of Joey.”
Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.

Batter Up! Nick Jonas Wins Big with the World Wide Wickets

“It’s true that Scott began videotaping himself having sex with girls when he was in his late teens, and then he’d steal from them!” claims model Brittany Reichek, a former friend of Scott, who dated one of his closest pals for five years, and spent a lot of time running in the same circles back in New York.
“Scott and one of his buddies had a system,” Brittany, 29, tells Star. “They would pass themselves off as wealthy stockbrokers, pick up girls in the clubs in the Hamptons, get drunk with them, then take them back to their parents’ homes and claim the houses were their own.

“When the time was right, Scott and his friend would go through their handbags and steal just about anything they could get their hands on,” including cell phones, camera, cash and even credit cards, she alleged.
Although no charges were ever filed against the pair in connection with their alleged scam and a rep for Scott, 29, denies Star ’s story, Brittany claims that Scott and his pal “videotaped girls and stole from them more than 50 times in the years I was around him,” said Reichek. “I think Scott got as good a high just from the actual things he stole.”
The confession from his old party pal couldn’t come at a worst time for Scott and Kourtney, whose partnership has become so volatile lately that even the birth of their second child, Penelope, on July 8 couldn’t ease the tension.

Now a father of two and a famous reality star, Brittany said she thinks Scott has changed somewhat, but “only for self-preservation, not to be a better person,” she said.
