Britney Spears Gets Beauty Touch-Up As Legal Battle Rages

Britney Spears showed no signs of stress or worry as she left a hair salon in Beverly Hills on Saturday.
The X Factor star is being sued for breach of contract by Sam Lutfi, who claims he was her manager and is owed 15 percent of all her earnings from the last several years, and the trial has dredged up all the most scandalous details of the singer’s 2007 meltdown.

As RadarOnline.com reported, the trial got underway on Thursday with Lutfi’s lawyers claiming Spears was a drug-addicted mess when he took over her care.
Lutfi is also suing Brit’s dad for assault and her mom for defamation, with all being rolled into one trial.

On Friday, the attorney for dad Jamie Spears called the battle between his client and Lutfi literally a matter of “life and death” for Britney.
On a more positive note, the pop star mother-of-two has just splashed out $8.5 million for an estate in family-friendly Thousand Oaks, CA.

Britney Spears ‘Changed’ And Became ‘Depressed’ Following Her Split From Justin Timberlake

On the day that Justin Timberlake married Jessica Biel, an attorney told a jury in a Los Angeles courtroom that Britney Spears “changed” and “became depressed’ after her break-up with the former NYSNC singer in 2003, RadarOnline.com is reporting.
Jamie Spears‘ attorney, Leon Gladstone, told jurors in his opening statement Friday that Brit and Justin “had a big relationship, and it ended painfully. In 2003 her parents noticed that she had changed over the breakup of her and Justin and noticed she was depressed….[Britney] went to Vegas and got married to a childhood friend for 55 hours and they realized that she was becoming distant with her parents and become concerned she was using illegal substances.”

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Britney’s “former manager,” Sam Lutfi is suing Britney and her parents, Lynne and Jamie Spears for breach of contract, libel and defamation for comments Lynne made in a book about her life. The trial is expected to last nearly three weeks, with Lutfi, Lynne, Jamie and Brit’s fiance, Jason Trawick, all scheduled to testify.
In 2006 everything changed once again for Britney, after Kevin Federline filed for divorce, amid drug abuse allegations, according to Gladstone: “Jamie does an intervention at Britney’s house and she agrees to go to rehab in Antigua, but never checks in…Britney did check into rehab eventually, and checked out after one day.”

Spears finally went to Promises for 30 days, but was very angry with her parents for forcing her to go, according to Gladstone. “Britney was at her most vulnerable when she met Sam Lutfi…Over the next couple of months things just got worse. An acquaintance sent an email to Jamie telling Britney to get away from Sam Lutfi because he will make her kill herself,” the attorney revealed.
Several restraining orders against Lutfi obtained by other people were also shown to the jurors.

On Thursday, Lufti’s attorney, Joe Schleimer described to the jury the run of events that occurred leading up to the X Factor judge’s 51/50 hold in which he says Lutfi called Lynne Spears for help and she refused.
Scheimer alleged that Spears took 30 prescription pills, which resulted in her infamous psych hold.

Schleimer’s argument is that once Lutfi stepped into the picture, Britney began to turn her life around and get her career back on track because Lutfi was afraid that she would overdose under his management and wouldn’t let that happen.
However, the Spears family attorney emphasized on Friday that the cause of Britney’s downward spiral was because of her break-up with Timberlake.

Sam Lutfi’s Attorney Claims Britney Spears Overdosed On 30 Pills, Resulting In Her Psych Hold

Britney Spears took 30 prescription pills, which resulted in her infamous psych hold, her former manager’s attorney told a jury on Thursday during the opening statements of the trial.
Sam Lutfi‘s lawyer, Joe Schleimer, made the bombshell claim just moments after telling the jury that Britney was addicted to speed (methamphetamines) when Lutfi first met her.

Schleimer described to the jury the incident leading up to the X Factor judge’s 51/50 hold in which he says Lutfi called Britney’s mother, Lynne Spears, for help and she refused.
Schleimer’s argument is that once Lutfi stepped in the picture, Britney began to turn her life around and get her career back on track because Lutfi was afraid that she would overdose under his management and wouldn’t let that happen.

Schleimer claimed that before agreeing to become Brit’s “manager,” Lutfi wanted to bring drug sniffing dogs into the house and she agreed to it.
“The dogs found hot spots of drug residue in the carpet and her children crawled on the carpets. He was trying to build a varsity team and that is why he did this. Sam was trying to find top notch people to work with Britney,” Schleimer said.

Lutfi’s attorney claimed that Britney hired a team called “the firm” and while he was co-managing her they put her on the 2007 MTV Music Awards — against his better judgement and the performance turned out to be a debacle because Britney still hadn’t lost her baby weight and wasn’t ready to be on stage.

Britney Spears’ Lawyers Set To Grill Sam Lutfi Over Courtney Love’s Bizarre Tweets

Jury selection will begin Friday in the libel and defamation lawsuit that Britney Spears’ former manager filed against the pop star and her parents.
And Sam Lutfi can be expected to face a barrage of questions from The X Factor judge’s attorneys – who plan on grilling him about Hole rocker Courtney Love’s bizarre tweets about the case, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.
“It’s interesting that Courtney Love has now become a part of this lawsuit,” a source close to situation told RadarOnline.com. “She’s posted a flurry of tweets about Sam and Britney’s upcoming court case.”

Among Courtney’s many tweets is her opinion on whether Britney should be made to take the stand during the trial — something she makes no bones about!
“She can judge X factor but she can’t talk in court?? She was in court weeks ago talking…” Love Tweeted.
“If you can’t smell a rat in @britneyspears conservatorship then wake the fack [sic] up!” She followed up with.

“It has been rumored that Sam is managing Courtney’s career, so Britney’s lawyers will want to cross examine him and will want the jury to know what Sam has told Courtney about the case,” the source said.
“Britney and Courtney don’t know each other – and Courtney knows nothing about what Britney has been through in the last four years.
“Sam was poisonous to Britney – she lost custody of her kids while he was her manager, and she was also hospitalized twice for mental health issues. It’s no coincidence that she’s now doing much better without Sam in her life.”

Spears’ attorneys will also try to decipher if Lutfi told Love to tweet: “A ‘Svengali’ doesn’t take @britneyspears to meet @DonPassman in order to hire him as a lawyer! @samlutfi was bringing her to best team alive.”
“The fact is that people in Britney’s life at the time had to go through Sam to communicate with her. This will all be revealed at the trial,” the source revealed.
Meanwhile, as RadarOnline.com previously reported, Spears is “terrified” she will be forced to take the stand in the trial, even though the judge handling her conservatorship has ruled she can’t.

“Britney doesn’t want to see Sam Lutfi or be in the same room with him again, ever,” a source previously told Radar. “Britney is terrified that she is going to be forced to testify in the trial, even though the judge handling her conservatorship ruled she isn’t mentally competent to participate.”
Lutfi is suing Britney and her parents, Jamie and Lynne Spears for breach of contract, libel and defamation for comments the Toxic singer’s mom made in her book, Through The Storm.
The trial is expected to last nearly three weeks, with Lutfi, Lynne and Jamie and Brit’s fiance, Jason Trawick all scheduled to testify.

“Britney is fearless,” Simon told Radar exclusively, adding the Southern Belle has “no qualms” about turning down a contestant if she feels they don’t have the act to succeed.
Simon compared Britney’s unabashed stream of opinions to those of Paula Abdul.

“To get a ‘No’ out of Paula, as you know, was like getting blood out of a stone,” Simon said, “because she didn’t want to be unpopular.”
The resurgent Britney has no such issues, Simon said, adding she can blankly turn a contestant down even if there are “4,000 people going crazy about [the] contestant.”

Factor in Disney diva Demi Lovato, and you have plenty of must-see conflict on the panel of judges.
“When the two of them get together, and me and [L.A. Reid] want someone to go through, these two, they gang up,” he said. “And that’s what happens when you put two girls together!”

Britney Spears & Demi Lovato Bring “The X-Factor” to Greensboro
Bringing their judging skills down south, Britney Spears and Demi Lovato were spotted arriving to “The X-Factor” auditions in Greensboro, NC on Sunday afternoon (July 8).
The girls looked great as the “Toxic” singer donned a revealing black dress that showed off her curves, while the former Disney Channel starlet rocked a neon orange dress and tweeted, “So excited to be in North Carolina!!!! #NCFactor.”
The 19-year-old singer has been very busy promoting her summer tour with special guest Hot Chelle Rae along with her new album “Unbroken.”
During her promo-run, she made a stop at ABC’s ‘Good Morning America’ and discussed her newly rehabbed stance as a role model for young girls saying, “It’s not about being perfect. It’s about speaking about your issues and inspiring others to get help.”
The brunette beauty was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2010 and she spoke on the issue explaining, ““I would stay up until like five in the morning just playing guitar and my parents would wake up for work and they’d be like, ‘What are you doing?,’” adding, “And finally when I got diagnosed I was like, ‘Oh, cool, I’m not crazy, it’s something. It’s a disease.’”

Britney Spears & Family Say Aloha to Hawaii
Having gotten their fill of the island life, Britney Spears and family hopped a flight back to the mainland early on Friday (July 6).
Flanked by sons Sean Preston and Jayden James and her fiance, Jason Trawick, the 30-year-old pop star and co. passed through security at the local airport in Maui, Hawaii after spending time together on a fun-filled vacation.
Having spent her Independence Day in the Aloha State, Miss Spears was among the many stars posting well-wishing messages on the Stateside holiday, as she penned, “Happy 4th of July from the Aloha State!” Britney tweeted on Wednesday.
Later treating her followers to a look at her toned swimsuit shape, the “Gimme More” songstress tweeted a shot of her bikini clad self alongside her boys, adding, “Getting ready for some pool time! Having a blast xxoo” she wrote.

Britney Spears Lands in Maui with Her Three Main Men
Ready to celebrate Independence Day in the The Aloha State, Britney Spears touched down in in Maui alongside fiance Jason Trawick and her boys on Sunday (July 1).
Clad in a white jacket, teal top and jeans, the pop star toted her yellow handbag on her arm while holding young Jayden’s hand as the fabulous foursome trekked out of the Hawaiian airport en route to a posh oceanside resort.
