Sophia Bush Talks Politics On Twitter

Enjoying a relaxing afternoon out on the West Coast, Sophia Bush was spotted out in Beverly Hills, CA on Monday afternoon (August 27).

The 30-year-old “One Tree Hill” actress looked pretty in print as she sported floral skinny jeans, a black tank top and sunglasses while chatting on her phone.

In personal news, Miss Bush has never been quiet about her opinion on equal rights and today she spoke out on the Republicans stance on rape.

The brunette beauty wrote, “I am honestly nauseous b/c of all these Rep. men defending rape/rape pregnancy. Gents, YOU WILL NEVER KNOW WHAT IT MEANS. #BackOffMyUterus.” Later adding, “Rape, sexual assault, any time a woman is harassed against her will — it’s ALL legitimate. And horrifying. How dare anyone say otherwise. “

Miss Bush had re-tweeted this post that started her rant: “BREAKING: Tom Smith, GOP Senate Candidate in Pennsylvania just said that pregnancy from rape is similar to “having a baby out of wedlock.”

Julie Bowen Talks Family & Politics with Capitol File

With her hit TV show “Modern Family” returning for it fourth season beginning September 26th, Julie Bowen pitched in on publicity efforts by covering the Fall 2012 issue of Capitol File magazine.

The 42-year-old Claire Dunphy actress tossed on an Oscar de la Renta satin blouse and wool pants while accessorizing with Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry and Charlotte Olympia platform pumps for the stylish Darren Tieste shot front page.

Meanwhile, a few of the highlights from Miss Bowen’s accompanying interview are as follows. For more, be sure to pay a visit to Capitol File!

On choosing family time over work:
“Everyone else [on the show] goes off and does fancy films. I stay home and tie beach balls to the oak tree in the front yard so the kids have something to hit instead of me.”

On her political stance:
“There’s the adage that if you’re not a liberal when you’re young, you have no heart, and if you’re not a conservative when you’re old, you have no brains. I find myself somewhere at those crossroads. There is this sense of wanting to protect your family. Right now I want them to have a childhood and I don’t want them to be exposed to everything so fast.”

On comparing herself to her ‘Modern Family’ character:
“The reality is, Claire is a mom who has older kids. And she was written by people with older kids. I might grow into a Claire, but I’m definitely not dealing with issues of sex and boys at school.”

On being in a good place right now:
“The boys are finally at an age where I find them so luscious and fantastic that I don’t want to be away if I don’t have to be if. It’s such a gift to not to feel the pressure to go hunting down a job right now. I’m just lucky as hell.”

Chelsea Clinton Addresses Marriage Woes, Babies And Going Into Politics

By Alexis TereszcukRadar Entertainment Editor

Chelsea Clinton has been very carefully edging out into the public eye and in a new interview she admits that her mother wants her to have babies and that she might even consider a political career.

The 32-year-old daughter of Hillary and Bill Clinton opened up to Vogue magazine where she said that she gets immense pressure from her mom to have children.

“She always tells me it was the greatest thing that ever happened to her,” Chelsea says about Hillary and she even makes jokes about her mother wanting grandchildren in speeches.

“And as the subject of such an amazing compliment, I can’t do anything but be grateful and smile and say that I will be the same way when I am so blessed. It’s certainly something that Marc and I talk a lot about. I always knew I was the center of my parents’ lives when I was growing up. And I am determined that our children feel the same way.”

Chelsea says that she and her husband, Marc Mezvinksy, do plan to have children eventually.

“Marc and I are both working hard right now, but I think in a couple of years, hopefully…literally, God Willing. And I hope my mom can wait that long.”

Marc spoke about their marriage, which was reportedly on the rocks when he left New York to go skiing after leaving his job.

“She is the yin to my yang,” he said.

Chelsea has been famously private with her life, but lately is opening up and is even discussing the idea of running for office herself one day.

“Historically, I deliberately tried to lead a private life in the public eye. And now I’m trying to lead a purposefully public life.”

She said Hilary’s run for President in 2008 changed her mind.

“Before my mom’s campaign I would have said no. Not because it was something I had thought a lot about but because people have been asking me that my whole life.”

Chelsea said her mom going into public life raised her awareness.

“Her life is a testament to the principle that there are many ways to serve. And now I don’t know….I mean, I have voted in every election that I have been qualified to vote in since I turned 18.

“So if there were to be a point where it was something I felt called to do and I didn’t’ think there was someone who was sufficiently committed to building a healthier, more just, more equitable, more productive world? Then that would be a question I’d have to ask and answer.”
