Katie Holmes Handles Weekend Legal Matters
Out for a lunch meeting with her lawyer, Katie Holmes headed to Bubby’s restaurant in New York City on Sunday (October 21).
The former “Dawson’s Creek” actress looked business chic in a tan dress, black tights, and a navy jacket, as she trekked through the busy streets of the Big Apple.
Not only has Katie been busy taking care of personal matters this weekend, but she has also been rehearsing for her Broadway play.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, the former Mrs. Tom Cruise attended a scheduled practice session for the stage show, “Dead Accounts,” which is being hailed as a new comedy about families and felonies.

Katie Holmes’ “Dead Accounts” Rehearsal Weekend
Hard at work over the weekend, Katie Holmes spent Saturday afternoon (October 20) rehearsing for her Broadway play in New York City.
Once wrapped up with the scheduled practice session, the 33-year-old actress/fashion designer engaged in an animated conversation on her cell phone while navigating back to her Big Apple apartment.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, the ex-wife of Tom Cruise is gearing up to star in the stage show “Dead Accounts” – which is slated for previews at the Music Box Theatre beginning November 3rd while opening up on November 29th.
The Broadway practice session comes amidst continuous chatter attaching Katie, as well as former co-stars Chris Klein, Joshua Jackson and Michelle Williams, to an upcoming “Dawson’s Creek” film adaption.
Of Miss Holmes’ thoughts on the potential big screen reunion, one source told Us Weekly, “[Producers] were begging her to sign on for a reunion movie. Tom said absolutely no way and thought going backward would be bad.”
The insider added, “[Katie] didn’t care how ‘low-brow’ he [thought] Dawson’s Creek is. She wanted to do the movie and reconnect with her fans. And have fun.”

Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes Divorce Details Leaked: Marriage Was Over 6 Months Before Split

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ marriage was irretrievably broken six months prior to the former Dawson’s Creek star filing for divorce, according to court papers exclusively obtained by the National Enquirer.
In the legal documents dated August 17, 2012 and signed by New York State Supreme Court Judge Matthew F. Cooper offers details of the divorce decree, including the specifics of the A-list couple’s custody agreement with 6-year-old daughter Suri have emerged.
The “marital relationship” had “broken down irretrievably for a period of at least six months immediately preceding,” the papers state.

Tom, 50, and Katie, 33, tied the knot in a lavish wedding in Italy in 2006. However, the legal documents say they officially married “in a civil ceremony” in Los Angeles on November 11, 2006. A prenuptial agreement was acknowledged and signed by Holmes months earlier.
In terms of child support, Tom was ordered to pay $400,000 a year to cover Suri’s “medical, dental, insurance, unreimbursed medical and dental, education, college, extracurricular and camp expenses.”
The total payments, however, won’t eat into Tom’s estimated $250 million fortune – with experts calculating the expense will cost the Mission: Impossible star $4.8 million in total. He only has to pay child support for the next 12 years until Suri turns 18.

And in the highly unlikely event that Tom skips payment? He will be faced with a jail sentence “for a term not to exceed six months.”

Katie Holmes was not the first of Tom Cruise‘s girlfriends to be recruited by Scientology, an upcoming cover story in Vanity Fair.
None other than Shelly Miscavige, the wife of Scientology leader David Miscavige, headed up the task of finding Tom an appropriate mate, writes the mag’s award-winning Maureen Orth. Candidates were told they were auditioning for a new training film and were asked a series of questions including “What do you think of Tom Cruise?”
Iranian-born actress and longtime Scientology follower Nazanin Boniadi was the winner in the girlfriend derby, writes Orth, and went on to date Cruise from November, 2004 to January, 2005.

Boniadi had to sign multiple confidentiality agreements and ended up falling head over heels for Cruise. But in short order, he decided she wasn’t up to the task, sources told Orth, and complained to her, “I get more love from an extra than I get from you.”
Boniadi was then subjected to daily sessions — two to three hours each — of purging herself of “negative thoughts about Tom,” reports Orth. “She felt completely shut off; her only source of money was a credit card issued in the name of Cruise’s production company.”

Eventually Boniadi was sent off to a Scientology center in Florida, and the process began again.
In April, 2005, Tom debuted Katie Holmes as his new girlfriend.

The article also claims that Holmes’s pre-nup agreement with Cruise, negotiated by her attorney father, filled five Bankers Boxes, and that one of Martin Holmes’ primary concerns was keeping his daughter out of Scientology.
Reps for Scientology denied just about every major aspect of the article and dismissed Orth’s sources as “disgruntled” former Scientology members.

Shelly Miscavige, the woman who Orth says brought Boniadi and Cruise together and is believed to have engineered his subsequent meeting with Holmes, has been missing since 2007.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Katie Holmes returned to attending Catholic Mass within weeks of filing for divorce from Tom.
She won custody of her daughter Suri and appears to be easily adjusting to life as a single working mom in New York.

One of the main factors during divorce talks between Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise was the Dawson Creek actress’ insistence on a sizable trust fund being set up for their daughter, Suri, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.
“Katie wanted the trust fund put in place for Suri so that their daughter will be able to tap into after she turns eighteen years old,” a source close to the situation tells RadarOnline.com exclusively. “Katie has absolutely no access to the money and didn’t want to. She just wanted to ensure that Suri would have financial security as she becomes an adult. It’s a sizable trust fund, but Suri won’t be able to fully legally claim it until she is in her 30s. Tom had no problem with the request and planned on doing it for Suri anyway.”

Katie Holmes didn’t get a huge payout from ex-husband Tom Cruise because of an ironclad prenup, but the Dawson’s Creek star will be keeping “millions of dollars in jewelry, designer handbags and other gifts” given to her by the Mission Impossible star during the course of their marriage, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.
“Tom was extremely generous to Katie with lavish gifts during their marriage and she will be keeping millions of dollars of jewelry, Hermes handbags and other luxurious items,” a source tells Radar.
“Tom gave Katie diamond earrings as a birthday gift one year that easily cost over $500k and he had custom design pieces made for her. Under terms of the divorce, Katie is keeping all of the jewelry, handbags, accessories, and designer clothing. What she does with it is up to her. For the time being, the jewels are being kept in a very safe place and knowing Katie, it’s likely she will one day give them to Suri once she is old enough.

“Katie was never with Tom for the money. When it came time for the divorce, she just wanted it to be done quickly and with as little disruption to Suri’s life as possible. Earlier this week, Holmes’ marriage to Tom Cruise officially ended. The A-list couple’s divorce was finalized on Monday, according to court records filed in New York City.
Holmes announced her split from Tom, 50, on June 29 and as RadarOnline.com first reported, they reached a divorce settlement less than two weeks later.

Katie was given primary legal custody of Suri, while Tom has “generous visitation” rights.
While Katie has been spending much of her time in New York, as she prepares to return to Broadway in the comedy Dead Accounts, Cruise has been spending time in London, where he went clubbing this week with his son Connor and daughter Isabella at the Chinawhite nightclub.
Tom was snapped outside the club where Connor, who used to be known as DJ C-Squared, was spinning with his dad and sister hanging out.

Connor and Isabella, whose mom is Nicole Kidman, and their friends left the club later than their dad, who was wearing his Top Gun style sunglasses as he left through a side entrance.

Isabella showed off three large tattoos on her arms and Connor’s mohawk looks like it is growing out.

Katie Holmes & Suri’s Crafty ‘Make Meaning’ Trip
Spending another eventful afternoon together, Katie Holmes was spotted with Suri in New York City on Monday (August 20).
The 33-year-old mother held tightly on to her six-year-old daughters hand while the two headed to Make Meaning to decorate crafts and treats.
In personal news, the “Dawson’s Creek” actress recently took Suri to her hometown of Toledo, OH where the pair visited family members and shopped at a local mall.
Despite reports that Tom Cruise kept Katie away from her family, a source is saying that the former couple visited her hometown on multiple occasions.
“To say Tom prevented anything is a gross lie. He not only didn’t prevent [Suri having a relationship with Holmes' family] but encouraged it and paid for it!” the source explains. “The first several birthday parties Katie and Tom threw for Suri had the family and cousins come to town – all expenses were paid for by Tom.”

Back in the Big Apple after spending time visiting her hometown of Toledo, Ohio, Katie Holmes took 6-year-old Suri Cruise out on Saturday (August 180 for what’s a milestone moment in every young child’s life.
Going casual in a simple white t-shirt and jeans look, the newly single ex of Tom Cruise and her pink helmet donning daughter took to a West Side Highway pathway for a bicycle riding training session.
The too-cute twosome provided for quite the adorable site as Katie gently propped and pushed her pink bike pedaling princess while giving a few pointers along the way.

“The purpose of Katie’s trip with Suri to Ohio was to introduce Suri to all her cousins,” a family insider revealed.
“As the youngest of five, Katie loved growing up in a big family, so she wants exactly the same experience for Suri.
“She worries that Suri doesn’t get enough exposure to kids her own age and Katie wants her to be brought up in a similar environment to which she was raised in.

“Tom was very protective over Suri, and liked to keep her close to him, the Church and his family all the time.

“It’ll take some getting used to for Suri, because she always gets things her own way. At first, she wasn’t thrilled with the idea of sharing some of her toys with her cousins when they all played together.

And as RadarOnline.com first reported, Suri will start her first day at school in New York with both her famous parents there in tow to give her a big send off to calm her nerves.
“Tom has been filming his latest movie in London but has made plans to be in New York for Suri’s first day of school, which will be after Labor Day,” a source close to the former couple revealed.
“Tom and Katie have been speaking on the telephone regarding Suri and Katie has been very supportive of Tom wanting to be there when Suri goes to her new school for the first time.”

A moving and storage truck was photographed outside the seven-bedroom, nine-bathroom house by X-17online on Wednesday afternoon.
Tom will keep the mansion, which features a movie theater, tennis court and swimming pool, while Katie will get their Montecito, Calif. home.

After five years of marriage, the 33-year-old actress secretly rented an upscale apartment in New York City just before springing a divorce on Tom in June.
As RadarOnline.com first reported, Tom and Katie plan on taking their daughter Suri to school together for the first day at the end of the month.
“Tom has been filming his latest movie in London but has made plans to be in New York for Suri’s first day of school, which will be after Labor Day,” a source close to the former couple told RadarOnline.com.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are planning on taking their daughter Suri to school together for her first day in a couple of weeks, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.
“Tom has been filming his latest movie in London but has made plans to be in New York for Suri’s first day of school, which will be after Labor Day,” a source close to the former couple tells Radar. “Tom and Katie have been speaking on the telephone regarding Suri and Katie has been very supportive of Tom wanting to be there when Suri goes to her new school for the first time.

“It’s a big moment in Suri’s life and Katie wants Tom to be a part of that. Of course, there will be security concerns and Tom doesn’t want to disrupt other parents and students at the school with his presence, which means he very well could slip in and out via a back entrance. Katie doesn’t want Suri to suffer because of their divorce and both parents are truly putting the needs of their little girl ahead of their own feelings.”
As we previously reported, Holmes has no regrets about filing for divorce and has been “blissfully happy” since making the life changing decision. “She’s been enjoying the company of her family a lot more, something she couldn’t really do when she was married to Tom. He controlled who she saw and he often wasn’t so approving of her family,” an insider previously told Radar.

“Katie’s desire for Suri to enroll in school was one of the main reasons why she decided to split from Tom. Tom’s two children with Nicole Kidman were home schooled by Scientology tutors and he wanted the same for Suri. However, Katie had completely different plans and has already enrolled Suri in an elite private school. Tom doesn’t like it, but he has reluctantly accepted this is the way it’s going to be and will absolutely be a big part of Suri’s life at school. Both Tom and Katie will take part in parent/teacher conferences and other school activities that Suri will become involved in,” the insider says.

Why So Sad? Suri Sobs At Dinner With Katie Holmes

So sad! Suri Cruise was dining at a Manhattan hot spot late Tuesday night with her mom Katie Holmes, and RadarOnline.com has photos of the little girl sobbing as she left the restaurant.
Suri, 6, was holding Katie’s hand and crying after leaving sushi restaurant Nobu at 9:30 pm, a time that might have been too late after her busy day with mom.

Katie and Suri were spotted at the Museum of Modern Art on Monday afternoon in the garden sitting on the steps with each other. They’ve been fixtures on the New York City scene this summer, with Katie making the Big Apple their permanent home following her split from Tom Cruise.
Suri just returned from her vacation to Disney World with her dad where he treated her to a luxurious sleepover in the Magic Castle Cinderella suite.
Tears and all, it’s still good to be Suri Cruise.
