Now That’s TRUE Beauty! Teen Cancer Sufferer Becomes Honorory Face Of Cover Girl

A 13-year-old cancer sufferer has become the honorary face of Cover Girl after her inspirational online make-up video made her a YouTube star.
Talia Joy Castellano, who is battling both leukemia and a brain tumor, has attracted more than 14 million viewers to her video blog and the cosmetics giant recently launched their new campaign and released the first image of the beautiful, brave teen.

Talia, who may only have another four months to live, became obsessed with make-up six years ago, when she was first diagnosed with the stage four neuroblastoma cancer. The seventh grader says that she uses make-up because she doesn’t like wearing wigs and wants to draw attention to her facial features instead of her baldness.
Her YouTube channel is an Internet sensation. Once a week, after enduring punishing bouts of chemotherapy, radiotherapy, stem cell transplants and blood transfusions, Talia teaches her followers a range of fun and creative make-up techniques.

Talia was shown the Cover Girl campaign poster while appearing recently on Ellen and combined with the standing ovation she received, the brave Tween’s eyes welled up with tears.
Speaking on one of her videos, Talia said: “I don’t like wigs, they’re so, I dunno… When I have on a wig I feel, not fake, just not me.

“When I put on my make-up I feel like I can embrace those features that I really like about myself. I feel if someone’s looking at me, they’re looking at my make-up, not looking at my bald head.
“I am just trying to make young girls, young adults, adults, anyone, feel beautiful by using make-up.”

Earlier this year Talia revealed the tragic news on her video blog that on top of her brain tumor, she has also been diagnosed with leukemia.
She uploaded a post announcing that she now has “neuroblastoma and leukemia at the same time.”

However, she vowed to continue her make-up lessons for “as long as she can” and said: “I just wanted to tell you guys because I don’t want it to be a secret.
“Basically there are not really a lot of options for treatment anymore.”

Talia said that she could undergo a bone marrow transplant but that she is leaning towards not doing it because of the toll it will take on her body.
In the video Talia, who if she doesn’t have the bone marrow transplant has between four months to one year left to live, said: “I hope you guys understand where I’m coming from, not wanting to do the transplant.

“This is not fair to me anymore. I’m only 13. I shouldn’t have to be doing this…it’s really not fair for kids to have cancer.
“It really frickin sucks…the journey of having cancer was amazing. But every journey has an end.”

Lance Armstrong Had Blood Transfusions To Cover Up Steroid Use Says Former Teammate

Lance Armstrong had blood transfusions while racing to help cover up his use of banned performance enhancing drugs. That’s just one of the stunning accusations coming in The Secret Race, hitting bookstores Tuesday.
Written by Armstrong’s former U.S. Postal Service cycling teammate, Tyler Hamilton, the book offers up a stunning litany of ways he says Lance fooled drug testers for years.

As RadarOnline.com has been reporting, last month Armstrong dropped his years-long challenges against the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency and was immediately stripped of his seven Tour de France titles.
The now disgraced Armstrong took advantage of a French law meant to protect Tour de France racers’ sleep time by barring drug testing from 10 pm to 6 am, reveals Hamilton. His team “microdosed” immediately at 10 so the drugs would be out of their systems when testing would resume at 6 am.

Armstrong, writes Hamilton, had a motorcyclist they nicknamed Motoman following USPS racers along the Tour de France route. He carried banned erythropoietin and prepaid cellphones to discreetly set up juice drops.
Armstrong personally gave out white lunch bags with testosterone pills and drops and erythropoietin at the end of each stage in Tour de France races.

But it was the blood transfusions intended to cover up the drug use that Hamilton remembers most vividly.
“With the other stuff, you swallow a pill or put on a patch or get a tiny injection,” he writes. “But here you’re watching a big, clear plastic bag slowly fill up with your warm, dark red blood. You never forget it.”

The book comes on the heels of a scathing tell-all about Armstrong written by his former assistant for Outdoors magazine.
Armstrong continues to insist he’s done nothing wrong.

Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart Cover EW’s Fall Movie Preview
While their off-screen togetherness has taken a drastic turn for the worse, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart can be seen in a warm embrace on the just-debuted cover of Entertainment Weekly.
Set to hit newsstands on Friday (August 10), the cheating scandal-plagued pair channeled their beloved Edward Cullen and Bella Swan characters for the front page of the magazine’s Fall 2012 Movie Preview issue.
With the upcoming Twilight Saga franchise finale “Breaking Dawn – Part 2″ being profiled, the feature article finds director Bill Condon comment on the aftermath of the headline-dominating relationship drama between Stewart and Pattinson.
Of this, Condon opined, “The fact is, these are actors playing parts, and maybe it’s not such a bad thing that people be reminded of that. Both of these actors gave heart and soul to the Twilight movies, not only during shooting, but also by navigating so graciously the whole life-in-a-fishbowl aspect of the phenomenon. Above all they have always shown great respect for the fans who made these movies such a success. Now it’s time that some of that respect be returned to them.”
Meanwhile, Robert and Kristen spoke with EW for the cover story – though their contributions came before the Rupert Sanders story broke.
Chatting about Edward’s ability to remain rational at all times, Rob said with a laugh, “It’s strange. All through the series it’s like, ‘Hey , this guy is trying to be sensible! Let’s think this thing out.’ And everyone is like ‘F— you’.”
Chiming in, Stewart pressed Pattinson explain what he learned from the role, to which her now-estranged beau stated, ”Don’t be pragmatic. Be an emotional idiot.”

Now that they have won and he is ascendance, what does that mean for his life? What does it mean for him and his family? Now that Walt is the king, what will he do with that power and will it be as easy to maintain that control as it was to wrestle it out of Gus Fring’s hands in the first place?”
Bryan Cranston (Walter White) on ‘Breaking Bad’ season five:

[Laughs] No, with Gus gonenow, Walt is more in control this season and we get to see Skyler becoming more of his equal. Each season, Vince keeps pushing the envelope with darker and darker stories. But we’re not being dark for the sake of being dark. We’re trying to tell an honest story. And all these actions have circumstances the characters have to deal with. It gets very heavy andvery dirty this season, like nothing we’ve seen before.”

“Last season was all about Marie taking care of Hank after the shooting. This season it’s about more caretaking; more about the family. She’s more defined. “I have a very short attention span, so I’m always experimenting. I like the darker look right now. With their new movie “The Amazing Spider-Man” set to hit theaters on July 3rd, Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield garnered herself a little added exposure by covering the August 2012 issue of Teen Vogue magazine.
The 23-year-old actress looked darling in a Louis Vuitton dress while her co-star beau suited up in a Carven jacket and Calvin Klein tie for the Josh Olins shot front page while also partaking in a joint Q&A session for the publication’s feature article.

On what she was actually like in high school:

“For me, it was all childhood anxiety and panic attacks. Being able to do improv, to just make things up on the spot and be funny or sad or whatever I was feeling, and to have it be OK, was super helpful. To this day, that’s why I love it so much.”

“Yes, it’s based on a true story about a mob boss, played by Sean Penn. I’m the girl on his arm, but then I start fooling around with one of the cops who’s trying to catch him.”

ANDREW GARFIELD
On what drew him to the “Amazing Spider-Man” project:
“It took me a month to decide if I wanted to do the screen test, but ultimately it was a no-brainer. I’ve been a fan of Spider-Man since I was a kid, and I just knew that if I got the chance, there was no possibility of saying no. But there’s always a pressure about it, of wanting to honor the thing that you care so much about. It’s like a great relationship; it’s like taking care of a child, or—”
On his first impression of Emma:
“It was like I woke up when she came in. She was the last person to screen-test, and I was so bored of it by then that I was mucking about—I’d been pretending I was Tom Hanks or Seth Rogen. And then she came in, and it was like diving into white-water rapids and having no desire to hang on to the side. Throughout shooting, it was wild and exciting. I couldn’t help but try to stay with her, keep pace with her, and not let her get away. [Laughs] Like an animal preying on a smaller animal, but a wily smaller animal.”
On if he had any high school sweethearts:
“I had an unrequited love. She actually quoted a Spice Girls song to ask me out and then dumped me after about four hours.”
On his heroes:
“Her mom. And my mom. [Points to Emma] She’s a hero of mine, because she is who she is…. And, of course, Ryan Gosling.”
