Controversial Lottery Winner Amanda Clayton Dies From Drug Overdose

One year after she won $1 million in the Michigan State Lottery, Amanda Clayton has died of a suspected drug overdose.
Ecorse Police Sgt. Cornelius Herring confirmed Clayton was found dead in a private home at 9 am Saturday, reports The Detroit Free Press.

The Lincoln Park woman, 25, hit headlines in July when it was learned that she was on food stamps at the time of her winning and had continued to collect the benefit.
Clayton opted to take the lump sum pay-out on her winning, approximately $735,000. She bought a new house and a car.

Attorney General Bill Schuette charged Clayton with felony welfare fraud, and she was sentenced to nine months of probation. She was also required to repay the $5,475 in food and medical assistance she received after winning the Make Me Rich lottery game.
“It’s simply common sense that million dollar lottery winners forfeit their right to public assistance,” Attorney General Bill Schuette said at Clayton’s April arraignment.

According to the Village Voice, “Isabella, announced on a private Facebook page this week that her boyfriend Eddie Frencher signed Scientology’s billion-year Sea Org contract about a week ago and is now going through its Estates Project Force boot camp in Los Angeles… Former Sea Org executives tell us that Isabella would be under intense pressure to join the hardcore Scientology organization herself or be forced to give up her relationship with Frencher.”

In 1966, L. Ron Hubbard stepped down as executive director of Scientology to devote himself to research and writing, and went on to form the Sea Organization, an elite group within Scientology that was based on three ships, the Diana, the Athena, and the Apollo. According to reports, Sea Org members routinely work 100 hour weeks, for $50 a week, and have no contact with family or friends outside of the organization.
Reps for Tom Cruise have denied that Isabella is signing up to Sea Org though, stating: “[Isabella is] not a public figure and deserves privacy. However, she is not joining the church’s religious order.”

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Isabella was unceremoniously fired from her step-mom Katie Holmes’ clothing line, Holmes and Yang, just weeks before Katie filed for divorce from Tom.

NBC Execs Met With Ann Curry After Controversial Interview About Her Appearance

NBC executives had a meeting with Ann Curry after an interview she did with Ladies Home Journal where she revealed that her bosses at TODAY weren’t happy with her physical appearance, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.
Just before Curry was replaced by Savannah Guthrie as TODAY co-anchor, she vented to the magazine about how she irked decision-makers at NBC because she wasn’t their style — literally.

“The meeting was conducted by several high ranking NBC executives, and Ann Curry. They didn’t rake her over the coals for her comments, but the message was definitely clear…no more negative comments about the network,” a source close to the situation told RadarOnline.com.
“They also wanted to address her concerns that she vented about in the interview. Ann had no intention of causing a controversy, and she reminded them that when she did the interview, she was still a co-host of the TODAY show. Ann was trying to convey in the interview that women’s physical appearances are heavily emphasized in the professional working world, as compared to men. Ann has always been a true class act, and she had nothing to be ashamed of.”

In the interview Curry said Peacock Network officials didn’t like that she had grey hair, thought her wardrobe was frumpy and wanted her to wear “ridiculously high heels” during her time as an anchor with TODAY.
Curry said when she wore clogs and flats into the studio, it didn’t “go over very well with my bosses,” and in one instance, she was compared to breakfast cereal mascot Toucan Sam when wearing a colorful dress on the air.

The respected journalist went on to say, “I’ve got gray hair because I won’t dye it: I want to honor my family by looking exactly as they did as they got older… I think showing some grey is authentic …true beauty is a face you have lived in. Of course I want to look my best: I eat right, exercise and use skin cream. I try to wear nice clothes. But I don’t want to change the fundamental parts of me, because it means changing who I am.”
Meanwhile, Good Morning America has beaten TODAY in the first full week after the Olympics, rocking numbers of 4.654 million over TODAY‘s 4.399 million, according to ratings released on Thursday.

Leader Of Controversial ‘Moonies’ Cult Hospitalized; In Critical Condition

Unification Church founder, Reverend Sun Myung Moon, better known as the man who founded the ‘Moonies,’ is in intensive care suffering from severe pneumonia, RadarOnline.com is reporting.
The leader of the controversial religion was rushed to the Catholic University’s St. Mary’s Hospital in Seoul, South Korea, on Monday where he remains in critical condition with severe breathing problems, reported the Korea Herald.
Moon founded the Unification Church in Korea in 1952 and has built it into a worldwide religious organization claiming up to 7 million believers. The church extols Moon as the “True Parent of Mankind” and “the King of all Kings,” and if he dies power will be handed down to his sons, Hyung Jin and Kook Jin.

When his children take over leadership, some fear that the cult’s unbridled strength will increase. “Most will think it is over when Sun Myung Moon dies but it won’t be,” a Moonie expert revealed to Radar. “It has the potential to be much, much worse.
“These are power hungry people. The Moon kids now in charge have shown they can rationalize and lie about anything then make themselves believe what they say is God’s will.

“Members have never known or understood where Moon was leading them. They just follow blindly and say ‘true love’ or ‘One family under God’ if asked,” he claimed.
During the 1970s Reverend Moon’s church became notorious around the world amidst accusations of brainwashing and aggressive recruitment techniques, the movement caused outrage when followers were matched to total strangers and then married at mass weddings.
The term ‘Moonie’ is now deemed derogatory by many members of the movement, but suspicion from the outside world remains. Through mass weddings, Moon claimed to be purifying his newlywed followers in creating a new race of sinless children. Now in their twenties, those children are preparing to be blessed in a mass wedding of their own.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the lifestyle of modern Moonies was recently spotlighted in a TLC reality show Mass Moon Wedding, which went behind the scenes of the movement by following three young couples as they travel thousands of miles to South Korea to be blessed by their messiah at one of the movement’s controversial mass weddings, where 2,000 couples are wed at once.
Born in Jeongju, North Pyeongan Province in North Korea in 1920, it is claimed Moon has carried out activities for the reunification of Korea and democracy and freedom across the world.
Along with his self-made religion, Sun Myung is also a conservative media mogul and his church runs both the Washington Times and the Segye Times in Korea.

And now it’s the popular fast food joint Chick-Fil-A that’s facing a boycott after their CEO, Dan Cathy, told the Baptist Press, “We are very much supportive of the family — the biblical definition of the family unit.”
“Can anyone imagine that Jesus would denounce and decry two men or two women who have fallen in love, have promised to live in a faithful, monogamous lifelong intentioned relationship and now seek the civil status and the church’s sacrament of marriage? I cannot.”

On Thursday, a controversial tweet posted on Prince Michael Jackson‘s account bashing his aunt Janet Jackson, was mysteriously removed and replaced with a strange, cryptic message, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

As previously reported, Prince Michael broke his silence Thursday on the drama surrounding his family by tweeting a terse text exchange between he and his aunt which appears to show the Control singer did not want Prince, Paris or Blanket to see their grandmother, Katherine Jackson during the time she was squirreled away at an Arizona Spa.
RadarOnline.com has independently verified the validity of the text messages and Twitter account.

In the text — sent this past Monday at 4:52 p.m. — Prince Michael writes “This is enough so I am texting you for the simple fact that WE DEMAND TO SPEAK TO MY GRANDMA NOW!” Prince Michael sent the text to his aunts Rebbie and Janet, and also to another relative, Austin Jackson. Janet responded: “Don’t let them pls.”
The text exchange contradicts a claim made by Randy Jackson earlier this week that Michael’s children were free to see or talk with their grandmother at any time.

Those Tweets have since been deleted from Prince’s profile and replaced with “these tweets are not our own,” which was posted from a computer and not an iPhone, which Prince usually uses when posting to his account. The most recent Tweet has also been deleted.
“There is cause for concern because Prince and Janet did exchange those text messages that were shown on his Twitter account early this morning,” a source close to the situation tells RadarOnline.com. “Prince was up very late last night and was in possession of his cell phone. Prince fell asleep very, very late last night, so there’s a level of speculation that he wasn’t the person to remove the tweets — that someone else did, and then posted the new bizarre message in place.

“The children are absolutely safe though. Remember, TJ is their legal guardian right now, not Katherine. Even though she is home the kids’ regular security team are with them and haven’t been replaced.”
Meanwhile, Katherine Jackson’s attorney, Perry Sanders hopes to meet with his client later today to discuss a game plan to regain custody of her grandchildren, according to our sources.

A Look Inside Scientology’s Controversial Sea Org Base

As more details come to the forefront about what role Tom Cruise‘s involvement with Scientology played in his split with Katie Holmes, we’ve got an up-close and personal look at Sea Organization, a subsection of the movement’s 500-acre Gold Base in Gilman Hot Springs, California.
According to reports, the FBI has investigated the site and its inhabitants in connection with human trafficking; the heavily guarded property is equipped with motion sensors, razor tipped wire and a possible nest bunker.

The New Yorker ran a shocking exposé earlier this year with other eyebrow-raising claims from former members including: as many as 6,000 associates are only paid $50 weekly for their services there; and can be imprisoned in one of two punishment-designated trailers nicknamed “The Hole” for violations as minor as looking at someone the wrong way.
According to an ABC News report, the associates are not permitted to leave the property, and if they try, will be hunted down by military-style teams who might employ emotional or physical punishment for the infraction, former members say. In some instances, associates can be subjected to “voluntary” punishments including isolation, manual labor, malnutrition and sleep deprivation.

Gary Morehead, who used to work as security for the Scientologists, says he rounded up at least 100 people who tried to leave the base in his 13 years with the organization. The escapees might also be presented with a six-figure bill known as a “freeloader tab” for services received there.
In 1985, Scientology faced a $25 million lawsuit from ex-member Lawrence Wollersheim, who said he was emotionally injured after officials locked him in the hold of a ship for up to 18 hours a day with no food.

Controversial Jesus Of Nazareth Film Sparks Outrage Before The Script Is Even Written

A controversial upcoming film about the conception of Jesus doesn’t even have a script written yet and it is already causing outrage among right wing groups, RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal.
Total Recall director Paul Verhoeven is planning a big screen adaptation of his 2010 book, Jesus of Nazareth, which suggests that Jesus was not really the son of God but instead the result of Mary being raped by a Roman solider.

Following in the high-profile footsteps of religious movies such as The Passion Of Christ and Ridley Scott‘s rumored upcoming Moses adaptation, re-writing the story of the immaculate conception has sparked accusations that the filmmaker is attacking Christianity.
“Hollywood isn’t anti-Christian, we are constantly told. Yet the evidence keeps piling up that it is precisely that way,” Dan Gainor of the Culture and Media Institute exclusively told RadarOnline.com.

“Showgirls director Paul Verhoeven now plans to film a made-up version of the life of Jesus where Mary ‘is raped by a Roman soldier instead of experiencing an immaculate conception,’ according to Playlist,” he explained.
“This isn’t accidental. Christians and Christian faith have been under decades of attack by hedonist Hollywood that is desperate to rationalize a culture of immorality,” claimed Gainor.

“No doubt, major media outlets will celebrate this film’s assault as ‘inspired’ and call on Christians to tolerate offensive attacks on their most essential beliefs.”
With the project only being announced last week and no stars even yet attached to it, a representative for Verhoeven told Radar that any reaction is premature.

“There is as yet no script on the subject, and until there is, there’s nothing to discuss. It will be at least six months before we have a script,” the director’s spokesperson revealed.
Verhoeven plans to direct the film, which will reportedly be written by Roger Avary of Pulp Fiction fame and produced by The Virgin Suicides‘ Chris Hanley.
