AFTER THE FALL, Starring David Duchovny, Hope Davis and Timothy Hutton, Begins Filming in Connecticut
Principal photography has begun on “After the Fall,” starring David Duchovny, Hope Davis, and Timothy Hutton, written by Carroll Cartwright (“What Maisie Knew”) and directed by Anthony Fabian (“Skin”). The film is produced by Anthony Mastromauro’s Identity Films. “After the Fall” will shoot on location in Connecticut.
“After the Fall” is based on the inspiring true story of John and Brenda Fareri, grieving parents who used the unexpected death of their young daughter Maria as the impetus to build a world class state of the art children’s hospital where families are welcomed into the healing process. This hospital, inspired by Maria’s wish for children’s global health and well-being, not only keeps Maria’s memory alive, but has also gone on to help thousands of children and their families, while becoming the template for future children’s hospitals.
“John and Brenda Fareri are truly extraordinary people,” commented producer Anthony Mastromauro of Identity Films. “When first hearing their story I immediately knew it was one which needed to be shared.”
David Duchovny (“Californication,” “The X Files”) and Hope Davis (“The Newsroom,” “American Splendor,” “The Special Relationship”) star as John and Brenda Fareri, with Timothy Hutton (“Leverage,” “The Ghost Writer”) playing Bruce Komiske, who helps the family in their long, emotional journey to obtain funding for the planning and building of the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital.
Brenda and Julie Fareri will produce with Mastromauro, while John Fareri and Rod Lurie serve as executive producers.
The Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital is the only hospital in the nation named after a child. After Maria died, her parents, John and Brenda Fareri, learned that Maria had made a special wish as part of a school project: “for the health and well-being of all the children in the world.” With her spirit guiding them, her parents, family and 20,000 other members of the community have made this wish a reality. Today, Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital is a place where parents are not visitors but partners with the staff in the care of their children.
Identity Films is an independent Production Company formed in 2006. Identity Films’ goal is to acquire and produce quality content of artistic and commercial merit. Identity recently wrapped the feature “As Cool As I Am” starring Claire Danes, James Marsden, Sarah Bolger and Thomas Mann.

Duchovny, Davis, Hutton Set for AFTER THE FALL
As Deadline reported earlier today, David Duchovny, Hope Davis, and Timothy Hutton are set to star in the upcoming film, AFTER THE FALL. The film is written by Carroll Cartwright (WHAT MAISIE KNEW), and directed by Anythony Fabian (SKIN). Identity Films is producing the picture.
AFTER THE FALL centers around the true story of John and Brenda Fareri, who, after losing their daughter Maria, work to create a world class children’s hospital that caters to the family during the grieving process. Duchovny and Davis are set to play the Fareris, while Hutton has taken the role of Komiske, the man who assisted in finding the funds for the Maria Fereri Children’s Hospital.
The film has just begun production in Connecticut, though no release date has been set. BroadwayWorld will keep you updated as the project develops!

After notoriously adopting his girlfriend to try and evade losing his fortune in a civil lawsuit from the family of the man he killed drunk driving, millionaire John Goodman has now attempted to cut off his ankle bracelet with a smashed mirror to escape house arrest.
The polo mogul’s illicit attempt backfired and he was instead taken into custody late Wednesday night after sheriff’s deputies determined he tampered with the monitoring device, reported the Palm Beach Post.

Deputies also found scissors in the bathroom, which they claim Goodman likely intended to use to cut the monitor’s strap from his ankle.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the 48-year-old polo club founder had previously adopted his 42-year-old girlfriend, Heather Laruso Hutchins, in his bid to protect his $300 million estate from the family of engineering graduate Scott Wilson, 23, whose car he fatally crashed into.

Goodman was found guilty in March of DUI, manslaughter and vehicular homicide and has since agreed to pay the victim’s family $46 million rather than going through the civil lawsuit.
He was sentenced to 16 years for the fatal crime but has been on house arrest at his Wellington estate in Palm Beach, Florida since May while he appeals the conviction.

Now the convicted drunk driver is behind bars, following his devious bid for freedom after deputies were alerted of the infringement just 35 seconds after he tampered with the monitor.
“He’s back in the Gun Club hotel…That’s where he’s going to stay,” Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw told the Post. The Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office is now filing a motion to revoke Goodman’s bond and a hearing will soon follow.

If approved, Goodman will have to say goodbye to the 160-acre complex and the world-renowned polo club he founded where he has been allowed to stay on a $7 million bond and with the condition that he pay for two off-duty deputies to watch him day and night.

Growing up in Brazil, Fabiana said that she accepted the fact that she was overweight.
“From that point on, I really started to gain weight. I moved from Brazil to the United States to try to further my singing career and in no time at all I doubled my weight, going from just plain old fat to super fat. I was a size 28 and was fine with it,” she told the Huffington Post.

She was on a rollercoaster with dieting, losing 100 pounds then gaining 100 pounds back but then she got married and was diagnosed with breast cancer the first time.
“I started eating more again to counter what happened during each week of chemotherapy and more weight came back,” she said.

“Then, a year later I was pregnant with triplets, so I was eating for four. I gained more than 100 pounds during the pregnancy. On top of that, one week before I delivered, I found another lump in my breast – another reason to seek solace in food. The cancer was back.”
Fabiana went through radiation therapy and beat cancer for a second time.

“Just after that, when I weighed in for my appointment with the oncologist, I was shocked to see 294 on the scale again,” she said. She said that was when she found her savior.
“I heard about BodyMedia from a friend and immediately ordered one. I could track every morsel of food I ate, every minute of exercise and even whether I was getting a good night’s sleep. It was like having a doctor, nutritionist and personal trainer supporting me right there on my arm!

“Each day I tried to burn more calories than I ate. I would also try to trick my metabolism by changing the amount of times that I would eat,” she explained.
“One week, I would eat five small portions a day of vegetables, almonds, egg-white omelets, chicken and fish, and the next week I would eat bigger portions but three times a day.

“I included some plyometric exercises and different weight routines in my workouts. The weight melted like butter on a hot summer day. It was absolutely amazing, and after about four months I had lost that 100 pounds again.”
Fabiana was selected as the Best Brazilian Female Singer living in the U.S. by the Brazilian International Press Awards, and she decided that she wanted to drop even more weight for the red carpet.

She has now lost a total of 125 lbs. and says this is the height of her happiness.

“It was like, ‘I’m here and I’m clutching onto your arm, and it all feels a little overwhelming and really strange,’” she admitted to the fashion magazine.

LeAnn Rimes Recovering From Massive Infection After ‘Dental Nightmare’

LeAnn Rimes said she’s suffering from a “massive infection” after missing a show over the weekend, which was to be her first on a new tour in the wake of her stay at an in-patient treatment facility to deal with anxiety and stress issues.
“I feel like I got hit in my right side of my face with a baseball bat 
NOT a good feeling when I am getting on a plane,” Rimes tweeted Saturday. “For all my fans at Wendover [Nevada] last night [Friday], the show will be rescheduled, not a canceled show. WORST way ever to kick off a tour…..under anesthesia and a massive infection. Well, onward and upward. It can only get better from here!!!”
On Sunday, she posted a detailed blog on her website detailing the 3 a.m. trip to the emergency room to tend to what she called an ongoing “dental nightmare.”

LeAnn wrote Sunday, “I’m finally in great hands and being well taken care of … needless to say, I’m resting today. Thank you all for your support and understanding. LeAnn remains on a pre-planned hiatus from the rehab facility to fulfill a number of professional obligations.
