And then there were two.

In the beginning we presented you with 32 of the summer’s hottest celebrities, 16 men and 16 women, and put the task of crowing a King and a Queen of the hot season in your hands. The votes have been counted and the results are in.

So who in Hollywood truly had the best summer?

Your King and Queen of Summer 2010: Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.

(Wow. Original, you guys. Really original.)

Now, several factors helped propel each member of this duo into the top spots. Not only did they kinda come out as a couple this summer via a very grainy photo, they appeared in Eclipse, one of the year’s biggest box-office hits. And they both were filming high profile “next step” movies, Water for Elephants and On the Road.

With those events supporting them, they each did away easily with their compettion to meet at the top.

In the final round, Robert Downey Jr.’s charms proved no match for Rob’s. The veteran actor was sent packing after receiving only 31.3 percent of the vote to Pattinson’s 68.7. Likewise, Kristen ended final challenger Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream domination, grabbing 61.6 percent to Perry’s 38.4.

Here’s to the winners—and everybody else who gave it a shot.

PHOTOS: 10 Years of Emmy Winners

Things are starting to heat up. You voted and now our selection of Queen of Summer nominees has been narrowed down from 16 to eight as we head into round two.

The competition is shaping up to be fierce. Jennifer Aniston edged out Megan Fox, 56 percent to 44 percent, and Angelina Jolie also bested her competition, bumping Lindsay Lohan out, 67 percent to 33 percent. Are Jen and Angie headed for a summer showdown?

There were also a few surprises. With 61 percent of the vote, Katy Perry completely dominated Lady Gaga, sending the fellow singer packing early. Another blow out came from Sandra Bullock, who easily did away with Rihanna, 72 percent to 28 percent.

So now we present your Elite Eight. And don’t forget to crown a King of Summer 2010. Vote now!

Oh it’s on! You voted, and now our selection of King of Summer nominees is down from 16 to eight as we enter round two.

Have to say there were a few shockers when we saw how you voted:

It seems Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s star turn as a zero-gravity badass was no match for Robert Downey Jr.’s charms, as RDJ bested the Inception actor 56 percent to 44 percent.

Also eyebrow-raising was seeing True Blood vamp Alexander Skarsgård completely do away with this year’s werewolf sensation, Joe Manganiello, 62 percent to 38 percent. Considering the frenzy over the often-shirtless star, we sensed a sea change was upon us, but it looks like Skars still has a bloodsucking place in all your hearts.

But by far the closest matchup was between Justin Bieber and Eminem. In the end, the rapper just barely edged out the teen sensation, 51 percent to 49 percent. Sorry to all the Beliebers.

As if the summer of 2010 wasn’t hot enough, Hollywood’s hottest ladies turned it into a scorcher. But who was the hottest of them all?

It’s time to name the Queen of Summer. We’re looking back at the ladies who really heated things up this season and putting the decision in your hands. From the biggest names in movies, TV and music, it’s up to you to vote and name your queen.
