Pamela Anderson has revealed that she is helping to evacuate dogs that have been affected by the oil spill.

The 43-year-old former Baywatch star will be flying to New Orleans to help PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) shortly after she is due to appear at a Comedy Central roast of David Hasselhoff in LA this Sunday.

Anderson, an honorary director of PETA, told UsMagazine.com in a statement: “There are far more dogs than homes everywhere, but the crisis in Louisiana is prompting people to open their hearts and doors to animals in trouble.”
