Chad Johnson (Ochocinco) Arrested For domestic Violence

Recently married Chad Ochocinco (now known as Chad Johnson) was arrested in Davie, FL on Saturday evening (August 11) for a misdemeanor domestic violence charge.

According to Police Cpt. Dale Engle who spoke with NFL Network, the Miami Dolphins wide receiver allegedly head butted his newlywed wife and “Basketball Wives” star Evelyn Lozada during an argument on the way home from dinner. The alleged argument left Evelyn with a “pretty good sized” laceration.

However, Johnson told police that the two accidentally bumped heads after getting into a “heated argument” over a receipt that Lozanda found in the car, which showed condom purchases.

A Dolphins spokesman says, “We are aware of the situation and are in the process of gathering all of the relevant information.”

A judge has set bond for Johnson at $2,500 and ff convicted, could face a maximum penalty of one year in jail and a $1,000 fine.
