Heidi Montag reportedly files for divorce from Spencer Pratt
Reality star Heidi Montag has filed for divorce from Spencer Pratt, according to reports.
Montag, 23, went to court to start the separation proceedings about two months ago and has today filed for divorce from Pratt, 26. The former Hills star stated irreconcilable differences in the divorce petition that was filed in Superior Court in Santa Monica, California. Spencer Pratt: “I Thought We Got Married For Ratings”
Just one day removed from news that Heidi Montag filed her divorce papers, Spencer Pratt has since dubbed their reality TV marriage as “an act”.
Talking about the legitimacy of their split, Pratt told People magazine, “I love Heidi but our marriage was a show – it was part of The Hills world.”
Continuing to dish about his failed marriage, Spencer took to his Twitter page on Saturday (July 31), writing, “Heidi left me seasons ago! This whole time I have really been married? I thought we did that for ratings?”
Currently claiming to be trying his luck as an artist, he added, “I got served with divorce papers? I thought that preacher at the wedding was one of the actors like my paid friends and family & exWIFE.”
Meanwhile, the now-scruffy reality star also took time to plea with MTV to give him more work, tweeting, “I miss the sound stage @mtv I need my script back. Don’t know how to live without producers guiding my storyline. I just want to be a reality superstar. Once these Shores boys are done I am on the bench coach ready to make ratings.”
Tokio Hotel Rocks MTV World Stage Live 2010
Taking their sound overseas, the members of Tokio Hotel were among the participants in the MTV World Stage Live In Malaysia music event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Saturday (July 31).
With Bill Kaulitz, Tom Kaulitz, Gustav Schaefer and Georg Listing all on-hand at the Sunway Lagoon Resort Surf Beach venue, the quartet took part in a press conference before taking the stage for a smokin’ set including Noise, Automatic, Dogs Unleashed and Forever Now.
Chatting with press before their turn onstage, MTV asked the group what fans could expect from the show, to which Bill replied, “What we did on this record is that we tried some new instruments, the guys are playing keyboards, and they are playing piano for the first time, because in general, Tom is only playing the guitar, but he’s also really talented when it comes to the piano, so we went with a new record to try new stuff on stage as well.”
Also asked if there are ever any nerves before performing to packed crowds, the Tokio Hotel frontman answered, “Yes, we do. But when you play a tour for like 3 months or something…with the large shows when it’s the same every night, it’s not that bad, you get used to it. We are always nervous when it’s just the one show, just the one possibility, and it’s always exciting. I think it’s a normal thing to be nervous.”
Katie Holmes: Weekend Worker
Keeping busy over the weekend, Katie Holmes was spotted arriving at a recording studio in Hollywood, California on Saturday (July 31).
Looking casual cute in a tank top and jeans overtop a black bodysuit, the former “Dawson’s Creek” darling hopped out of her Mercedes CLK and headed inside to tend to the day’s agenda.
As previously reported by Gossip Center, Miss Holmes is fresh off of filming The History Channel’s upcoming miniseries event titled “The Kennedy’s”.
Playing Jackie O, Katie recently told Us magazine of the spectacular ensembles in which she got to wear, “I feel so lucky. We have these wonderful seamstresses who are creating beautiful dresses that are obviously replicas of real things she wore. Armani made two dresses for me to wear.”
Ashley Greene and the Kardashians Hit Up Super Saturday
Joining together for a day of charitable fundraising efforts, the stars turned up for the 13th Annual Super Saturday at Nova’s Ark Project in Water Mill, New York on Saturday (July 31).
Among those on hand were “Twilight” actress Ashley Greene and morning talk show host Kelly Ripa – both of whom helped out with hosting duties for the InStyle sponsored event.
Also turning up for the festivities, which garnered proceeds for the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, were Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian and Kris Jenner of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” stardom.
Tweeting about the outing, Kim wrote to her many fans and followers, “Super Saturday in the Hamptons today! Let’s shop with proceeds benefiting ovarian cancer!”
As for Super Saturday, the event is aired on QVC with over 200 luxe brands including Giorgio Armani, Louis Vuitton and Stella McCartney offering big discounts with the net proceeds going straight to the OCRF.
Rehearsals Are Now Underway For The Hollywood Production Of ‘Rent’
Next weekend, for 3 nights only, Hollywood is gettin’ a special version of the Tony Award winning musical Rent in an all new production directed by actor and Rent alum Neil Patrick Harris. This new version of Rent stars Aaron Tveit (Next to Normal) and Skylar Astin (Spring Awakening) as Roger and Mark alongside Vanessa Hudgens (as Mimi), Nicole Scherzinger (as Maureen), Wanye Brady (as Tom Collins) and more! This production of Rent will play at the Hollywood Bowl and promises to be a very special one-of-a-kind production … which will debut next Friday night after only 1 week of rehearsals! Rent is absolutely one of my all-time favorite Broadway shows … and is the one I’ve seen the most times (30+ at last count). I am so excited to see this new production, even if I have some reservations about the casting.
In all honesty, I’m not entirely convinced that Vanessa Hudgens can bring Mimi to life on stage … but I trust NPH‘s decision to cast her. I’m very curious to see how the whole show comes across, to be honest. I’m pretty sure that we will be going to the opening night performance on Friday … and I’m really excited. Here’s hoping this new production of Rent will do my fave show justice … or else

Aidan Quinn Tells Robert Pattinson ‘Fame Rarely Lasts’
’80s heartthrob Aidan Quinn hit the big time by starring with Madonna in Desperately Seeking Susan. He has kept up a steady acting career while maintaining his 22-years-plus marriage to Elizabeth Bracco, who is the mother of his two children.
He offers a few words to Twilight hunk Robert Pattinson, 24.
“Try and pick good projects,” the actor, 51, tells me. “Do what you want to do that challenges you as an actor. Be smart, have fun and start to produce your own material because the big fame rarely lasts. There will come a day when the phone doesn’t ring as much as it used to.”
When did Aidan first realize he was famous?
“I think it was when I went into a supermarket, and I was doing a film called An Early Cross, which was the first movie ever done about AIDS. I was on the cover of a magazine, and I had no idea ’cause I didn’t do a photo shoot for them. They just took a picture from the movie and put it on. It was a shock. And then, I started getting recognized a lot. Then, I thought, ‘This is it. Now I’m famous.’ Thirty-two million watched the show the night of the thing, so the next day I all of a sudden out of the blue I was being recognized a lot in the street. I’m not sure it’s necessarily great. Celebrity, to me, is not a thing to seek.”
Hmm, why not?
“It’s full of bull**** and ersatz false values. It’s a byproduct of what we do as actors in this industry, but I don’t think it’s something devoutly to be wished or to be sought.”

Pamela Anderson to help dogs affected by oil spill
Pamela Anderson has revealed that she is helping to evacuate dogs that have been affected by the oil spill.
The 43-year-old former Baywatch star will be flying to New Orleans to help PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) shortly after she is due to appear at a Comedy Central roast of David Hasselhoff in LA this Sunday.
